Antique large silver plated oval platter by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). Since the 1850s, WMF has been a leading name in silver-plated tableware, renowned for its quality and design. The maker’s mark on this tray indicates it was made between 1886-1903 and includes the letter “M” (Messing, German for brass), signifying its brass base. This stunning serving tray features a guilloché center pattern with a Greek key frieze (meander motif).
Condition : The tray displays minor visible scratches and dents, along with small areas of wear on the rim. Overall, It remains shiny and sturdy for use.
