Gorgeous French antique 2-piece fish serving set crafted in 950 silver and silver-plated metal by Ravinet Louis & Denfert Charles (active 1891-1912, later succeeded by Ravinet d’Enfert & Cie), featuring an exquisite Louis XVI style with a detailed openwork design.
The handles, made of filled 950 silver, offer a solid yet lightweight feel, reflecting the quality craftsmanship of the early 20th century, and feature the prestigious Minerva hallmark. The server parts are crafted in silver-plated metal, showcasing intricate engravings of elegant motifs.
Condition : The set is in excellent antique condition, with the items being very thick, solid, shiny, and sturdy for use. There are some scratches, minor dents, and slight plate wear on the silver-plated parts. The knife blade is heavy, causing it to tip forward and lift the handle slightly when placed on a flat surface, as shown in the photos.
