A fine French antique 2-piece fish serving set, composed of a serving fork and knife in 950 silver handles and silver-plated server parts.
The handles, made of filled 950 silver, offer a solid yet light- Weight feel, reflecting the quality craftsmanship of the early 20th century. They are decorated in the Louis XVI style, with fluted patterns, bows, and crossed ribbons, and bear the prestigious Minerva hallmark confirming their silver content.
The knife and fork blades, crafted in silver-plated metal, are beautifully engraved with elegant foliate and branch motifs, enhancing their refinement.
Presented in the original fitted case, this set is a wonderful example of early 20th-century French silversmithing, ideal for collectors or for adding an elegant touch to fine dining.
Condition :
The set is in very good antique condition, with the pieces solid, shiny, and sturdy for use. Light scratches, small dents, and minor plate wear are visible on the silver-plated parts. The presentation box shows significant wear but remains functional for storage.
